Sharon Wells, founder of Yoga On Chocolate, LLC (a Baptiste Affiliate Studio) is a Certified Baptiste Power Vinyasa Teacher, & she is recognized by the Yoga Alliance's highest level of standards as an E-RYT500.

Sharon’s journey began as a dancer, using her bones, muscles and emotions to convey a story on stage.  As fulfilling as it was, it ended at the age of 34 with a severe hamstring injury.  She tried Karate and practiced many different forms of Yoga to help fill the void, but it was only after she discovered Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga in 2000, that everything changed within her. She found she loved the structure and discipline, the sweat and spirituality, the way to “heal” through a physical practice. Sharon says, “after a Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga class, your skin glows, and your light shines brighter.”

Sharon's classes have been described as "athletic" or "vigorous"  &  she has trained Professional Athletes including AHL, NHL Hockey players and Major League Baseball Players, but she never forgets the "beginner student".  When teaching a yoga class, sharon provides skilled instruction, respects the students limitations and will provide healthy modifications to assist them with their practice.

"after an injury, one class with Sharon and I was back up playing in the NHL" ~ Andrew Gordon - NHL/AHL Professional Hockey Player with the Washington Capitals."

As a young girl I was involved gymnastics, from the time I was a toddler to my teenage years. As high school approached I began to coach gymnastics as well. The strength and confidence this sport gave me left me yearning for something a little more personal.

When I was 17 I took my first yoga class; it didn’t take long to develop a passion for Vinyasa yoga. My instructor had such a positive impact on my practice that it made me want to teach as well.  After a few years of practicing yoga I obtained my certification in levels 1, 2, and 3 through a program called YogaFit. I have also taken their pre/post natal course and senior training, and I am continuing to work towards my 200 hour alliance certification.

My Name is Nina Rose Hamilton~ I am 30 years old and started practicing Yoga while in college.  I attended the University of Northern Colorado where I studied art education. Three years ago I began non-profit public speaking (Nina Speaks) which was founded in the loving memory of my brother and sister who died of drug overdoses 2 years apart from each other~ I have taken their stories into schools and rehabs. My speaking is very beneficial to others while emotionally and physically draining to me. So when I discovered Sharon's studio in 2009~ I walked into the unknown and left my first class feeling that the final piece of my life's puzzle was set in place. I felt my whole being illuminate and a light inside of me that burnt out years ago suddenly lit. I was just walking the walk, but in that moment for the first time in 6 years I felt present. Having one hour to just BE and just sweat away the day or even the years was so fulfilling. I knew I wanted this lifestyle and knew I wanted to train with Baron Baptiste~ so this summer I went to the beautiful Catskills and spent a week in teacher training. Baron was delightfully real~ He exceeded my expectations and reassured me that this path I was going down was the exact direction I wanted/needed to go~ It is a path of true discipline, spirituality, sweat, tears(of joy and pain), more sweat, transformation and total physical awareness. Baron has led me to a new way of being~And it is of truth and freedom, on the mat and in each step I take. He has also provided me with the tools to share my authentic self with the world. Yoga has opened my heart and soul to a path that is vast and ever changing. This is something I am so thankful for and excited to share with others in my teaching and with my 2 amazing kids and husband. Today I feel blessed~ And the Journey has Just Begun.

For the last 30 years I has been involved in phyical fitness. In 2002 I became an AFAA certified group fitness instructor and at that time taught all forms of group fitness. I also became the fitness coordinator for 2 gyms in the area. I have also studied and practiced meditation which has been good for my mind, body and spirit over the years, 20 in fact!  Back then you were afraid to tell people you meditated and worked with crystals because they would think you were a little wackey. Oh well, we know it works! My real profession is a Dental Hygienist, the one I went to the University of Pittsburgh for and I love it, still doing it part time. I have 2 successful son's Dustin and Shawn the loves of my life!! Then once again i began the  search (tired of teaching in the gym) what to do along with my hygiene. Well i decided to go to Sharon's studio. Hot yoga sounded good to me, better then yoga in the cold gym. Oh my Goodness I fell in love with it! For me it had it all and It fulfilled my physical and spiritual needs. So-- i asked Sharon how do i become an instructor?  She told me to go to level 1 Teacher Training w/Baron--- so I did. I thought meditation changed my life and it did, but this oh my goodness was a dream come true! It brought me home and here I am fullfilling my dream of sharing and teaching this wonderful practice!

For me Pilates is way of life… conditioning the mind and the body... all starting with building from and conditioning the core.  Joseph Pilate’s vision started as a therapeutic exercise and rehabilitation for dancers enabling them to strengthen and lengthen muscles strained from over use.  After many years as a student of Pilates I took the plunge and got my mat certification and love teaching others with passion fromwhat I’ve learned.  This followed with additional certification in Yoga.

In my classes you’ll receive one-on-one attention to make sure you understand and feel the benefits of correct form.  You’ll learn to isolate and focus on key muscle groups.  With Pilates you can reshape and strengthen… and have fun at the same time.   Add Yoga and relax your mind while we work to extend your range of motion and flexibility… All at a pace that you control.  So come on, it’s fun, easy… You’ll feel great and look great too!

Regina was introduced to yoga after a devastating car accident. When she was ready to exercise again, her doctor recommended she try Yoga.   At first she thought, "Why yoga?", but after she experienced her first class she understood why, her back felt great!

After moving to Pennsylvania, Regina took a Yin Yoga class at Yoga On Chocolate with Sharon Wells, she noticed that her back was feeling better after each class.  She has been  practicing yin yoga for over a year now and has less & less back pain. Regina studied Yin Yoga with Paul Grilley and hopes to continue her studies with him in the future.  She encourages everyone to try Yin Yoga, for as we age, our hips and low back tighten up. Yin Yoga helps to restore this motion with regular practice.
